Aha Lesedi has invested R3.2million ($233,000) in rebuilding a new dance theatre after it had been destroyed in a runaway veld fire in 2016.
The construction of this new dance amphitheatre is set to offer a more enhanced cultural experience.
It is artistically designed and decorated with African art murals and a ‘buffalo’ front entrance walkway flowing into an open central area overlooking five seating tiers, with a capacity of 300.
Its curved shape and elevated thatched roof, with ceiling height of 12.7 metres, is said to be one of the highest in Gauteng, and further amplifies sounds and echoes.
This spacious 20.4-metre amphitheatre can be utilized for a variety of events.
In addition, the external area is ideal for small functions.
It boasts all-inclusive wi-fi capacity throughout the property, in all the conference venues, rooms and public areas.
The establishment offers a variety of conference venues to complement any occasion, accommodating up to 300 delegates depending on arrangement style.
The Moringa Conference Centre hosts a maximum of 220 delegates in schoolroom or cinema-style seating, and 180 in u-shape or roundtable banquet seating.
Aha Lesedi is located in the African bushveld an hour from Johannesburg and 30 kilometres from O.R Tambo International Airport.
