KQ suspends flights to Liberia and Sierra Leona

Kenya Airways has temporarily suspended operations to Liberia and Sierra Leone in an effort to stem the spread of the Ebola virus out of West Africa.

Flights to Nigeria, where a small outbreak occurred but allegedly has since been contained, and to Ghana where no cases have been recorded, will continue as per published schedules.

This decision was made following advice from the Kenyan Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation.

Flights to Liberia and Sierra Leone scheduled after midnight on 19 August will not be departing Kenya.

The airline will provide a full refund of all tickets booked and paid for prior to this suspension.
