According to the Libya Herald. Afriqiyah Airways has launched a twice-weekly service between Misrata, Libya, and Cairo, Egypt.

Afriqiyah already flies from Misrata to Tunis and Sfax in Tunisia, and Benghazi, Libya. The twice weekly Sfax flight started in June.

Libyan Airlines has increased seats on a number of crowded destinations by using larger aircraft.

The new Airbus Airbus A330 is being used on the Tripoli-Istanbul and Tripoli-Casablanca routes.  On the Benghazi-Tunis, Abraq-Tunis, Abraq-Tripoli and Tobruk-Tunis flights, Airbus 320s will replace CRJ aircraft.

Each of these changes should add some 100 extra seats to the flights.
