aha Shakaland in Eshowe (South Africa) is undergoing a soft refurbishment.

The refurbishment will involve the remodelling of the bathrooms by replacing the baths with walk-in showers, in line with aha’s strategy of water conservation and sustainability.

Rooms are being re-painted and new linen and nguni hide mats introduced. The pool area is being revamped. The buffet area in the Shisa Nyama restaurant which offers a mixture of traditional Zulu food with touches of modern cuisine will also receive an upgrade.

The refurbishment also extends to the conference centre which sports a modest upgrade.

“These renovations will be carried out in phased stages, to avert any impact on our guests,” said aha Hotels and Lodges CEO Neil Bald.
