According to news24, Air Namibia will take delivery of the first of its new Airbus 330-200 aircraft in September, with the second due to enter service in November. iAfrica says the aircraft will be leased from Intrepid Aviation and used primarily on the carrier’s Windhoek-Frankfurt route.

Both aircraft will be configured with 244 seats – 30 Business Class and 214 Economy. Seats in the premium cabin will be lie-flat. Acting Managing Director Michael Ngapurue said the onboard product and inflight entertainment would be “significantly improved… meeting customer needs more optimally, while giving Air Namibia lower operating cost advantages”.
