According to eTurboNews, three Air Uganda Bombardier CRJ200 jets have been grounded by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.

The UCAA recently received a series of citations from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) against its processes and the application of international rules.

As a result, the UCAA suspended all Air Operators’ Certificates for international operations, while it resolves the issues raised by the ICAO.

Passengers booked on Air Uganda flights have been rebooked on other airlines, as its departures from Entebbe to Nairobi (Kenya), Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Mombasa (Tanzania), Bujumbura (Burundi), Juba (South Sudan) and Mogadishu (Somalia) have been cancelled.
