Arik Air has reinstated temporarily suspended flights to Banjul (The Gambia).
The Nigerian airline stopped flying into The Gambia to avoid transporting potential Ebola victims into the country.
Arik will operate three weekly flights from both Lagos and Abuja to Banjul, via Accra (Ghana) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. With this new schedule, Arik is allowing the Banjul route to sell three market segments on one operated flight (Banjul-Accra, Banjul-Lagos, and Banjul-Abuja).
The outbound flight departs Lagos at 17h00, arrives in Accra at 17h00 and leaves Accra for Banjul at 20h00. From Abuja, the outbound flight departs at 18h10, arrives in Accra at 19h00 and leaves for Banjul at 20h00. All times are local, and take into account the time differences in each country.
