AWA launches Lagos-Accra service

According to eTurboNews, Africa World Airlines has launched a flight between Accra, Ghana, and Lagos, Nigeria.

AWA will operate twice daily, morning and evening flights to and from Lagos, leaving Accra at 06h10 and 18h30 and Lagos at 08h55 and 21h15.

Currently, Nigerian airlines Arik and Aero Contractors fly between Accra and Lagos. There are also international airlines like Emirates that exercise their fifth freedom rights by picking up passengers from neighbouring African states.

AWA also planns to begin flights to Brazil by the end of the first quarter of 2014, ahead of the 2014 World Cup in that country.
AWA will begin flights to Abuja by the end of January 2014 and add other regional destinations over time.
