Emirates flight EK767 from Dubai to Johannesburg touched down at O.R. Tambo International Airport recently, marking the start of the fourth daily service between the two cities.
This service brings the total number of weekly scheduled flights operated by Emirates from Dubai to South Africa to 49. There are four flights to Johannesburg, two to Cape Town and one to Durban every day.
Emirates and South African Airways have extended their codeshare partnership to include the new service between Dubai and Johannesburg. Currently, SAA codeshares on all Emirates flights to and from South Africa.
The flight is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, making the Johannesburg-Dubai route an all-Boeing 777 operation. The aircraft has 354 seats in a three-class configuration – eight private suites in First Class, 42 in Business Class and 304 in Economy.
Emirates flight EK767 departs Dubai at 23h20 and arrives in Johannesburg at 05h35 the next day. The return flight, EK768, leaves Johannesburg at 09h25 and arrives in Dubai at 19h30.
