Emirates will introduce a third daily service between Dubai and Cape Town from 4 July, supplementing the two current daily flights between the two cities.
Operated by Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, flight EK778 will depart Dubai at 10h50 and arrive in Cape Town at 18h30. The return flight, EK779, will depart Cape Town at 20h05 and arrive in Dubai at 07h30 the following morning.
The current codeshare between Emirates and South African Airways on flights between Dubai and South Africa will be extended to include the additional Cape Town flight.
The Boeing 777-300ER has a three-class configuration with eight private suites in first class, 42 lie-flat seats in business class and 310 seats in economy class.
Economy class customers get a baggage allowance of two pieces of luggage of up to 23 kilograms each, while business and first class customers can take two bags of up to 32 kilograms each.
In Cape Town, Emirates also offers first and business class customers a complimentary chauffeur drive service, as well as a dedicated lounge facility at the airport, which Platinum and Gold members of its frequent flyer programme, Skywards, can also enjoy.
