Two months after taking delivery of its 7th Boeing 787 Dreamliner (see story here), Ethiopian Airlines has received its 8th 787.
Ethiopian was the first airline outside of Japan to receive the Boeing 787 in August 2012, and is set to take delivery of a further two Boeing 787s this year. Currently, Ethiopian is the largest operator of the Boeing 787 in Africa, with which they serve routes to Africa, Brazil, Europe, the U.S., Canada and China with the aircraft.
“The 787 is truly without peers in its category both in passenger comfort and operational excellence,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group.
Ethiopian is a global Pan-African carrier currently serving 82 international destinations across 5 continents using 68 ultra-modern aircraft including Boeing 777s, Boeing 787s and Boeing 737-800s with sky interior.
