According to eTurboNews, Star Alliance member Ethiopian Airlines, presently connecting out of its hub in Addis Ababa three times a week to the international airport on Mahe, is the first airline to fly the B787 Dreamliner to the Seychelles.

The airline resumed flights to the Seychelles in September 2014 after an absence of six months, reducing flights from four to three a week. While the designated aircraft is a Boeing B737-800 for the route, higher passenger numbers have prompted a change to the B767-300 on several of the more recent flights.
