Following the interim interdict granted against Safair earlier this week by South Africa’s North Gauteng High Court, which prohibits the sale of tickets and FlySafair from commencing operations, Comair Limited will take all reasonable steps to accommodate passengers with a FlySafair ticket.
“During the interdict hearing, Comair offered to honour tickets purchased on FlySafair and this has been granted as one of the conditions of the court order. Comair has finalised the process FlySafair ticket holders should follow to be helped on British Airways (operated by Comair) and kulula.com flights and has already processed a few hundred bookings,” confirmed Iain Meaker, Commercial Distribution Executive for Comair.
To be re-accommodated, you need to secure a refund from FlySafair and then book a new ticket with Comair with its Call Centre on 011 921 0205 or 010 492 2230. You will need your FlySafair reference number. You may also send your request to reaccommodations@comair.co.za.
FlySafair customers who have not completed a booking with Comair prior to their flight will not be accommodated. No name, date or route changes from the original FlySafair booking can be accommodated. Any extra bags, pre-paid seating or travel insurance will need to be requested at time of booking and paid for separately.
