Delta Air Lines has completed the roll-out of its full flat-bed seating across its entire fleet of 79 Boeing 767-300ER and 767-400ER aircraft.
BusinessElite customers are guaranteed 180 degreelie-flat seats with direct aisle access whenever they fly on B767-operated international routes. Additional upgrades across Delta’s B767 fleet include enhanced in-flight entertainment options throughout both cabins.
The airline has also confirmed that voice calls using mobile phones and other Internet-based technology will remain off-limits on all Delta and Delta connection flights, even if the current ban on mobile phone use is lifted. The decision comes off the back of feedback from frequent flyers and employees, the majority of whom said voice calls would be disruptive to the travel experience. The use of tablets, e-readers and smartphones in flight mode are all acceptable below 10,000 feet.
During the Northern hemisphere summer of 2014, Delta will operate a total of 81 peak-day flights from Europe, the Middle East and Africa to the United Stated. Of these, 17 peak-day summer seasonal routes will operate to and from JFK’s Terminal 4 in New York.
