Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa has re-opened after the completion of major renovations.
They include upgrades to guest rooms and the creation of a new Grand Deluxe category, the re-design of three restaurants and three bar concepts, new flooring in the main pool, a re-design of the lobby area with a new, modern look, the addition of a central air-conditioning system, an enhancement of the internet network for better Wi-Fi access, and many other back-of-house improvements.
The refurbishment project, which started in June, focused mainly on the creation of the new room category. Grand Deluxe rooms have been refurbished with new contemporary furniture and modern fixtures. The bathrooms now have separate bathtubs and showers. In-room amenities include a mini-bar, flat-screen TV, DVD player, TV cable, electronic safe, bathroom telephone, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee maker, and complimentary bottled water, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.
The resort now features three restaurants and three bars. La Pomme d’Amour restaurant serves breakfast and an international buffet dinner with a local Creole touch; Ginger Thai restaurant serves typical Thai cuisine; and Les Coquillages restaurant, on the beach’s edge, is ideal for enjoying lunch with your feet in the sand or a dinner under the stars. Aqua Bar, between the swimming pool and the beach, offers cooldrinks and snacks in a relaxing lounge environment.
