Intercontinental Hotel Group is set to open its flagship hotel outlet in Nigeria, adding 358 luxury rooms, five-star services and products and an influx of skilled hospitality manpower to the country’s growing hospitality industry.
The 358 rooms and suites are made up of 246 standard rooms, 30 twin rooms, 17 large corner king rooms, 17 corner one-bedroom suites, 14 one-bedroom end suites, four Club Floor junior suites, two large Club Floor one-bedroom suites, one Presidential suite, 55 suites.
There are four Club floors with 72 Club Floor rooms and suites. The multibillion naira, 23-storey, five-star hotel building, the tallest hospitality property in Nigeria, is set to cater for a steadily increasing number of business travellers to Nigeria. Rooms start at $500 per night, but the rates, according to Silvia Jurecka, Director of Sales & Marketing of the hotel, are flexible depending on the volume of business, number of guests and other factors.
