According to Travel Industry Review, the Kenya High Commission has rescinded the requirement for biometric capture of information for South Africans applying for visas to Kenya.
The government authority said passports with all required documents may now be submitted to the High Commission in Pretoria for processing from 12 August.
The new visa requirement applies to South Africans travelling to or transiting through Kenya from 1 September.
The processing period for short-stay visas of less than 30 days is expected to take five working days.
