Korean Air expands codeshare with Etihad

According to eTurboNews, Korean Air has announced an expansion of its codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways.

Since mid-September, Korean Air has put its airline KE code on the Abu Dhabi-Johannesburg routes operated by Etihad.

In addition, the codeshare will be extended to include Abu Dhabi-Khartoum flights, subject to approval from the Sudanese government.

The flights between Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg, South Africa operate three times a week. Abu Dhabi-Khartoum flights, once approved, will operate five times a week.

Korean Air has implemented a mileage partnership with Etihad Airways, allowing Korean Air Skypass members to earn frequent flyer points with Etihad Airways.
