According to eTurboNews, the DRC’s Korongo Airlines – a partnership between Brussels Airlines and local financiers, and the DRC’s only airline meeting EASA safety standards – has announced that it will offer daily flights between its base in Lubumbashi and the capital Kinshasa, effective 15 June.
Four of the flights will operate non-stop, while three will route via Mbuji-Mayi in both directions. Every Friday and Monday the airline also operates a non-stop flight between Lubumbashi and Johannesburg, South Africa – presently the carrier’s only international route.
