KQ and Kulula sign codeshare

Kenya Airways and Kulula.com, a privately-owned low-cost South African airline, have announced a bilateral codeshare agreement to connect the carriers’ networks via O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kenya Airways intends to place its code (KQ) on all South African domestic routes currently serviced by Kulula, which include Cape Town, Durban, George and East London, while the South African airline intends to place its MN code on the multiple daily KQ services between Johannesburg and Nairobi, Kenya.

The codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways is an extension of the interline agreement entered into last year, and is in line with Kulula’s medium-to-long-term strategy to grow its distribution footprint in Africa.
