KQ unveils new lounges at JKIA

Kenya Airways has unveiled two new lounges at its dedicated Terminal 1A at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi (Kenya).

The Simba Lounge and Pride Lounge are for the exclusive use of Premier World passengers flying from or transiting through Kenya Airways’ JKIA hub. The lounges will also be used by Sky Priority passengers from the airline’s SkyTeam partners.

Pride Lounge, which is set on 991 square metres, features a circular layout overlooking the airside. It provides a cigar room, piped music (sectional), washrooms and showers, a kids zone and a dining/working area.

Simba Lounge spans 360 square metres. Features of the rectangular lounge are: a smoking zone, family lounge, business experience centre, piped music (entire facility), washrooms and showers, noise-proof quiet zone for sleeping and a dining/working area.

Kenya Airways is also rolling out its fleet renewal programme. The airline has acquired six B787 Dreamliner aircraft, three B777-300ER aircraft and a next generation B737-800 aircraft.
