Moevenpick has opened its first hotel in the Moroccan city of Marrakech, an expanded and renovated property linked to the Palais des Congres.
Previously operated under the Kempinski banner, the Moevenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech has undergone a $100 million re-development and now features 503 rooms, five restaurants, a rooftop bar, a two-floor spa and wellbeing centre, and four swimming pools.
The property is located around 15 minutes’ drive from the city’s international airport, and has direct access to the Palais des Congres Marrakesh, which is also now managed by Moevenpick.
The congress centre offers a total of 5,600m2 of events space, including the 1,700m2 Royal Ballroom, two auditoriums, 200 meeting rooms and an outdoor events area.
Moevenpick already operates two hotels in Morocco – the Moevenpick Hotel Casablanca and the Moevenpick Hotel and Casino Malabata Tangier.
