According to Tourism Update, the Kalahari Anib Lodge in Namibia will close for alterations and extensive renovations on 4 January 2016 for three months.
The lodge is part of the Gondwana Collection and was rebranded in 2014. The 30 standard rooms around the courtyard will be upgraded and the freestanding chalets will be converted into 22 comfort rooms, including family units with views of the savannah.
The access road to the lodge will be shifted to lead through a scenic route, and walkways will be constructed behind the chalets. A new main building housing reception, a souvenir shop, a bar and a restaurant with a terrace will also be built.
