According to breakingnewstravel, Qatar Airways is set to increase frequency on its popular Cairo–Doha route to triple daily flights, beginning 1 July, ahead of the busy summer travel season.

The Doha-based carrier is introducing five new flights to its current 16 services a week, taking frequency up to three flights each day, and offering passengers greater flexibility and additional travel options.

Qatar Airways has been flying to Cairo since 1994, the airline’s initial year of operations, and the route has proved highly popular both as a leisure and business destination. The airline will be operating a mix of narrow-body Airbus A320s, wide-body Airbus A330s and its flagship Boeing 777 aircraft on flights to and from Cairo.

Apart from flights to Cairo, Qatar Airways has an extensive network in Egypt, offering non-stop daily flights to popular gateway cities Alexandria and Luxor. The additional services to Cairo will see Qatar Airways operate a total of 35 flights a week to Egypt.
