Sisa Ntshona has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of South African Tourism.
Ntshona comes to SA Tourism from the Enterprise Development Council of South Africa, and previously held positions at Absa/Barclays Africa and Western Union. Prior to banking, he held senior positions across various industries including, FMCG and aviation, where he was with SAA.
“His ability to infuse commercial objectives with an impact-driven focus is both relevant and suitable for this key role as CEO of SA Tourism,” said Dr Tanya Abrahamse, Chairperson at SA Tourism. “He is an energetic leader for an ever-changing world.”
Ntshona is expected to lead SA Tourism into a new era of sustainability through increased co-operation with the tourism industry. He will focus on the catalytic role of the organisation to deliver growth in tourist numbers.
