Salsa Tours to launch new product

Salsa Tours, a wholesale tour operator based in South Africa, plans to launch Travel Beat early next year. It’s an Internet-based booking engine which will enable travel agents to make bookings and payments, and release vouchers online, from any location.

Travel Beat’s inventory will represent in excess of 100,000 hotels in more than 190 countries. It will also cater for transfers and sightseeing tours in most cities.

The system will give travel agents more independence, and Salsa Tours believes Travel Beat will enhance the relationships travel agents have with their clients.

“Travel Beat can also be deployed to the travel agent’s client, making it a tool that can be used by the corporate client, without interfering with the agent’s commission or any other aspect of the relationship between the travel agent and their client,” said Vishal Koovejee, CEO of Salsa Tours.

“In today’s environment, it is a given for any travel agent to be available to their clients at any time of day, more so in an emergency or last minute booking. With Travel Beat, the agent is a click away from being able to provide a service that ensures client satisfaction,” said Koovejee.
