Low-cost South Africa-based airline Skywise says it is operating its normal schedule of six flights a day between Johannesburg and Cape Town, with two flights on Tuesdays which is its scheduled maintenance day.
The airline confirmed that one flight was cancelled on 9 November, saying it was due to a technical issue with an aircraft that led to a dispute with one of the lessors.
The current fleet consists of one Boeing 737, with another aircraft on standby as back-up.
“We are re-configuring an additional Boeing with an all-economy offering, which will be introduced to the fleet on 1 December,” said Tabassum Qadir, Co-Chairman and Interim CEO.
