According to eTurboNews, Sudan Airways has launched flights from Khartoum to Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital city.
The flights will operate out of Khartoum every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday using either an Airbus A320 or a Boeing B737, each configured in a two class cabin layout.
The UAE enjoys high popularity among Sudanese travellers who fly to the country to trade, shop and for medical purposes. Traffic volumes suggest that Sudan Airways will soon look at increasing flights between the two destinations.
Other UAE destinations for the airline include Jeddah, Riyadh, Sharjah, Dubai and Doha. African destinations include Cairo (Egypt), Asmara (Eritrea), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Kano (Nigeria), Juba (South Sudan) and several domestic destinations inside the Sudan.
