Three Cities introduces mobile payment app

The Three Cities Hotel Group has launched a mobile payment app – SnapScan.

Hosted by Standard Bank at the majority of Three Cities hotels and lodges, customers can now pay for their accommodation with their smart phones.

To use SnapScan, guests need to download the app for Apple, Android or BlackBerry, and add their credit card details by taking a picture of their card and creating a PIN. They can then use the app to scan a QR (quick response) code – a type of barcode – at any Three Cities property and make payments.

“SnapScan is changing the way people pay for everyday things,” said Managing Director John Creighton. “It’s safe, easy and free. Our guests will no longer need to hand in their bank cards or cash. With SnapScan they will be able to pay instantly at check-in, with the free application that can be installed in minutes on their phone.”
