Travelport, a distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, has announced the launch of an enhanced version of its travel agency point-of-sale application, Travelport Smartpoint.
The new look Travelport Smartpoint incorporates a number of efficiency driving enhancements, including interactive graphical mapping capabilities, as well as tools and functions designed to help travel agents.
Also incorporating virtual account number (VAN) payment functionality from eNett, the new version offers agents an additional payment solution directly within their desktop environment.
Since launching in 2011, Travelport Smartpoint has signed on more than 110,000 travel agents worldwide.
Travelport has also added enhanced hotel shopping, intelligent fare rules and advanced seat maps that are capable of showcasing all features of a seat.
